  • Disabled people in Russia, 2025
    • By the beginning of 2025, 11.1 million people with disabilities were registered in Russia, or 7.6% of the total population of the country
    • Among the disabled people of Russia, the most numerous are those of groups II and III - 40 and 42%, respectively; disabled people of group I make up about 11%, and disabled children - 7%
    • Among the disabled people of Russia, 56% are people of older working age, including 37% who are women of older working age
    • The number of disabled children by the beginning of 2025 exceeded 779,000 people, or 2.6% of the population under 18 years of age
    • The number of people recognized as disabled for the first time increased in 2023 by 28% - to 726,000 people, or 6.2 per 1,000 people
