Анализ основан на онлайн-опросе, проведенном ЕЭК ООН в 2023 году, в ходе которого была собрана подробная информация о методах, технологиях и оперативной практике, применяемых в ходе переписи 2020 года. Публикация дополнена интерактивной онлайн-панелью, представляющей результаты опроса. Она также включает сравнения между переписями 2020 и 2010 годов, основанные на информации из публикации ЕЭК ООН о переписи 2010 года.

Данная публикация состоит из двух частей. В первой части рассматриваются методологические, технологические, операционные и организационные аспекты проведения переписи населения, включая вопросы, связанные с охватом, качеством данных, затратами, возникающими проблемами, достигнутыми успехами и извлеченными уроками. Во второй части рассматриваются статистические темы, по которым собираются данные, и оценивается соответствие стран рекомендациям CES.

Документируя опыт переписи 2020 года, данная публикация призвана помочь национальным статистическим управлениям в оценке их последних переписей населения и предоставить практические рекомендации по планированию и проведению переписей в 2030 году.
