    • The population of the EU-27 at the beginning of 2022 was, according to Eurostat, 446.7 million people
    • Main forecast hypotheses foresee convergence of mortality, fertility and migration growth in the EU-27 countries
    • According to the main forecast option, the population of the EU-27 will continue to grow until 2026, when it will exceed 453 million people, and by the end of the century will decrease by 6% to 419 million people
