Demographic results of the first half of 2019 in Russia (Part I)

  • According to the results of the first half of the year, population decline continues for the third year in a row, but in 2019 its intensity decreased compared to the same period in 2018

  • Natural decline continues to increase, while net migration has increased 1.8 times compared to January-June 2018

  • The average age of a resident of Russia is over 40 years, the number of Russians aged 17 to 21 years is significantly less than in other one-year age groups under 70 years
