Публикация в основном охватывает период за 1990-2019 годы.

В сборник также включена информация о численности детей, показателях рождаемости, смертности и естественного прироста, а также показатели по дошкольным учреждениям, общеобразовательным школам, заболеваниям детей по включены в этот ежегодник.

Каждый раздел издания содержат методологические пояснения понятий и определений.
