INTAS объявляет очередной конкурс на гранты для молодых ученых (до 35 лет). Срок подачи заявок - до 26 апреля 2001 года

INTAS Call for Young NIS Scientists Fellowships is now open with a
deadline on 26 April 2002

NIS scientist under 35 can apply for a fellowship within the INTAS Young NIS Scientists Programme that offers four different types of grants: project-linked, PhD (equivalent to studying for a candidate degree), newly qualified postdoctoral and experienced postdoctoral fellowships.

INTAS grants provide young scientists with additional funding during their early years in research in their NIS institute plus the opportunity to develop international contacts or undertake training in an INTAS member state.

The duration of the fellowships ranges from six months to two years depending on the type of grant. The financial support varies from € 3,500 per year for a project-linked fellowship to € 6,000 for an experienced postdoctoral fellowship. As INTAS actively encourages young scientists to develop contacts with their Western peers, training periods and/or short-term visits in an INTAS member state are compulsory for all fellowships, except the project-linked fellowships.

Built on the experience of its Call for Fellowships closed in August 2001, INTAS has improved its electronic submission system called IDES for Young Scientists. Interested candidates are invited to submit their application for a fellowship through the IDES (Intas Data Entry System) by 26 April 2002, after which they will be assessed by peer review. INTAS expects the successful young scientists to start their fellowship early November 2002.

In parallel, INTAS will continue to accept, four times a year, applications for conference grants from scientists involved in its projects. The next deadlines are 15 January, 15 April, 15 July and 15 October 2002.

The rules and application forms for all fellowships and project-linked conference grants are available on the website (http://www.intas.be/Funding Opportunities) or from ys@intas.be.
